Oke aangezien heel veel blogs tegenwoordig giveaways houden, en iedereen wil dat de ander erover blogged, heb ik besloten iedere maand 1 post te besteden aan giveaway alerts. Matt Topcoat Comparison

De laatste tijd komen er steeds meer merken met hun eigen versie van de matte topcoat. Ikzelf heb de Matte Magic van China Glaze, en de matte topcoat van de Hema. Omdat ik zelf ook erg nieuwsgierig was naar het verschil tussen deze 2 heb ik het uitgeprobeerd. Had eerst zelf het idee dat er waarschijnlijk geen verschillen zijn, maar ik heb er toch een paar ontdekt!

Most brands are coming with there own version from the Matt topcoats. I have the Matte Magic from China Glaze and the Top Coat Matt from Hema. Because I was very curious for the differences between the matt topcoats, this comparison! I thought there were probably no differences, but I was totally wrong, there are differences!

Laten we beginnen met de Matte Magic van China Glaze. Deze topcoat is niet doorzichtig, maar heeft een beetje een troebele substantie. Het kwastje is een normaal smal kwastje, en de topcoat smeert ook lekker uit. Het kwastje vind ik toch trouwens wel iets aan de te smalle kant, dus dat is een beetje een minpuntje aan deze matte topcoat.

Let's start with the Matte Magic from China Glaze. This topcoat isn't clear but has a cloudy substance. The brush is a normal small brush, and the topcoat lubricates well. I think the brush is a little bit to small, so that's a disadvantage for this matt topcoat.

Dit is de matte topcoat van de hema. Deze heeft een meer doorzichtige substantie dan die van China Glaze. Zoals je zelf ook kunt zien is het kwastje van deze topcoat een stukje breder, hiermee kun je makkelijker in 1x je gehele nagel voorzien van topcoat zonder dat de kans bestaat dat de lak smudged. Ik vind deze wel iets minder lekker lakken dan die van China Glaze, de substantie is iets dikkig.

This is the Top Coat Matt from hema. This one has a more clear substance than the one from China Glaze. As you can see the brush is much more wider, so you can paint your nail in 1 stroke without smudging your polish. Honestly I think this one is not as nice in application than the one from China Glaze, the substance is a little bit thick.

Op mn linkernagel zit de topcoat van de Hema, op de rechternagel zie je de topcoat van China Glaze/ Left nail -> Top Coat Matt Hema, Right nail -> Matte Magic China Glaze.

Hier is het precies andersom, links China Glaze en rechts Hema. Zoals je kunt zien maakt de Matte Magic de lak een stuk matter dan de topcoat van de Hema doet. Op de nagel met de Hema topcoat zie je toch nog enigszins glans. Ook maken de topcoats iets kleurverschil. China Glaze maakt hem echt goed mat, en de topcoat van Hema laat nog wat glans zien, ook maakt deze de kleur iets donkerder dan hij in werkelijkheid is. Een review over deze lak komt trouwens binnenkort voor de geïnteresseerden.

And here it's the other way, Left -> China Glaze and right -> Hema. As you can see, the Matte Magic makes more matt than the Top Coat Matt from hema does. On the nail with the Hema topcoat you can see a bit of gloss. The topcoats make a different in colour to. The one from China Glaze makes matt and left the colour the way it was. The topcoat from Hema makes the colour a bit darker. A review about this blue polish is coming soon, for all the interested ones.

Dus even de plus en minpunten op een rijtje/ The good and badpoints:

Pluspunten/Good points China Glaze:

- Lakt goed / Polishes well
- Geeft een goed mat resultaat / Makes my polish really Matt.
- Veranderd de kleur van de lak niet / Don't change the colour of the polish.

Pluspunten/ Good Points Hema:

- Lekker breed kwastje / Nice wide brush
- Goedkoop / Cheap
- Verkrijgbaar bij alle Hema's ( alleen was het wel een LE, maar wie weet komt hij nog in het vaste assortiment)/ Can buy it by all the Hema's.


Minpunten/Bad points China Glaze:

- Smal kwastje / Really small brush
- Iets duurder dan normale lakjes / A bit expensive than the Hema topcoat
- Niet verkrijgbaar in Nederlandse winkels / Isn't available in Dutch stores.

Minpunten/Bad Points Hema:

- Maakt de kleur lak donkerder / Makes your polish darker.
- Geeft geen mooi mat resultaat / Doesn't have a really matt result

Dus mag je niet bestellen via het internet? Of vind je de lakjes van China Glaze te duur? Dan zou ik gaan voor de matte topcoat van de Hema. Vind je het niet erg om iets meer uit te geven en bestel je graag via webshops? Dan zou ik je degene van China Glaze adviseren. Weet overigens niet hoe alle andere matte topcoats zijn, vind 2 wel genoeg om te hebben!

So you're not allowed to buy on the internet, or you think polishes from China Glaze are to expensive? Than choose the one from the Hema. You don't mind to spend some more money and you love to shop on the internet? Than buy the one from China Glaze. By the way, I don't know the results of all the other matt topcoats, 2 matt topcoats are enough for me to have!

Nailart on popsticks

Weer een keertje iets helemaal anders! Soms als ik een leuk nailart ideetje heb, en heb dan net mn eigen nagels gelakt ( Sja ga dan niet anderhalf uur werk er meteen weer afhalen) werk ik het idee soms uit op een popstick. Inmiddels heb ik al 10 popsticks met verschillende handgemaakte nailart, dus afentoe ga ik een berichtje tussendoor met een nailart van 1 van de popsticks laten zien. Vandaag ga ik de allereerste nailart die ik op popsticks heb gemaakt laten zien. Het is niet een erg ingewikkelde nailart, dus ook goed na te maken op je eigen nagels!

Something really different this time! Sometimes I have really nice nailart ideas at the moment that I just painted my nails ( So I'm not going to destroy 1.5 hour of nailart) so then I take a popstick, and make the nailart on the popstick. At this moment I have 10 popsticks with different handmade nailart designs, so now and then I'm going to show you one of the popsticks. Today the very first nailart on popsticks. It's not a very difficult nailart, so you can easily try it on your own nails.

Het gaat om bovenstaande nailart. Je kunt dit idee uitwerken in iedere denkbare kleur. Ik heb hier gebruik gemaakt van bruin/geel en goude stripers. Je begint eerst met de ondergrond, het leukste is een beetje een lichtere ondergrond, ik het hier een parelmoerig lakje gebruikt ( Het is alleen te lang geleden om te herrineren welke lak het precies is). Vervolgens maak je aan de onderkant een soort van driehoekje (wat ik dus in het donkerbruin gedaan heb). Heb je moeite met mooie lijntjes trekken? Je kunt ook de helft van je nagel afplakken met plakband, dan hoef je niet netjes te werken en heb je toch een mooi recht lijntje! Daarna maak je rechts van het bruine driehoekje een geel driehoekje. Daarna heb ik een gouden striper gepakt en heb ik een extra accent gelegd op de lijntjes. Als laatstje pak je een klein kwastje (of tandenstoker, het is maar wat je lekker vind werken) en zet je uit de losse hand gewoon wat kleine lijntjes neer, het hoeft nergens op te lijken, gewoon wat lijntjes zetten! Hetzelfde doe je ook op het gele gedeelte. Ik heb hier dus de geel op het bruin gebruikt en de bruin op het geel. En dan krijg je dus bovenstaande nailart! Onthoud dus dat je het met iedere kleur kunt doen die je tegenkomt!

So it's all about above nailart. It's very simple and you can make this nailart with every colour you want. I used a darkbrown/yellow and gold striper for this one. You start with a basecolour, I used a pearl polish (I seriously don't know which polish this is.. It's too long ago!). Up next you make a kind of triangle on the tips of your nails (What I did with the darkbrown polish). Don't worry if you can't make nice straight lines. Just put some tape on your nails. Then you make another triangle left of the other triangle (What I did with the yellow polish). You can choose to accent the lines, what I did with a gold striper, just paint the lines with the striper ( or leave it the way it is). And the last step is make some lines on the triangles with a brush or toothpick, just what you like to use. The stripes don't have to be very neatly, just paint some stripes. I took the colour yellow above the brown, and brown above the yellow. And ready is your nailart! Remember that you can do this nailart in every colour you want.

China Glaze Rainbow of Hope Collection

Op de website van China Glaze kwam ik de promotiecampagne voor de Rainbow of Hope collectie tegen. Een collectie waarvan iedere kleur een verschillende soort kanker voorstelt. Omdat ik dit een hele speciale en goede collectie vind, ga ik jullie vandaag de kleurtjes laten zien die in deze collectie zitten. Ik heb zelf nog geen lakjes uit deze collectie, maar als ik ze tegenkom ga ik er zeker een paar halen en delen met jullie. China Glaze doneert trouwens ook 18% van de inkomsten naar verschillende goede doelen welke zich inzetten voor kanker.

On the website from China Glaze I saw the promotion campagne from the Rainbow of Hope collection. It's a very special collection for all kinds of cancer, every colour has there own name which is based on a type cancer. I think the collection is a really good one, and very special so I'm going to show you some colours. I don't own one of the colours yet, but if I see one of them I definitely buy some. China Glaze will donated 18% of display sales to Cancer Research Organisations.

Notd Butterflies

Vandaag een al iets oudere Notd, maar nog steeds vind ik hem wel leuk om te laten zien, alle 5 de nagels hebben een verschillend ontwerpje waarbij het thema centraal staat aan vlinders! Voor deze Notd heb ik trouwens de stempels van konad gebruikt.

Today an older Notd, but still worth to show you. All 5 nails on my hand have another pattern, which are central to butterflies! I used Konad stamping nailart for this one.

Als ondergrond heb ik een lichte roze french manicure gemaakt. De french manicure is uit de vrije hand gemaakt met Catrice - Rose Pink. Dit is nog een lak uit de oude collectie van Catrice. Verder zie je op iedere nagel wel iets met vlindertjes, behalve op de wijsvinger daar zie je 2 herfstblaadjes (Achteraf had ik daar beter een donkerder kleurtje voor kunnen gebruiken).

For the base I used a french manicure. I've made the french without guidelines, and the polish I used is Catrice - Rose Pink. This one is from the older collection from Catrice. Further you can see on every nail except for my index butterflies. On my index are 2 maple leafs. ( I'd better took a darker colour for that).

En een vergroting van mn duimnagel, dit patroontje vind ik echt enorm schattig, het ziet er echt uit alsof het vlindertje rustig op het plantje zit! Meestal doe ik dus al mn nagels in hetzelfde patroontje, maar een keer wat afwisseling tussendoor is ook leuk!

And an enlarged pic of my thumbnail, I really love this pattern, it really looks like the butterfly is sitting on the plant! I usual do my nails in all the same patterns, but something different is a kind of funny for sometimes!

Notd Flower Decals

Vandaag weer eens een Notd, in het pakketje van Viva La Nails zaten onwijs leuke waterdecals, en omdat ik deze dus nog nooit uitgeprobeerd had vond ik het tijd om waterdecals te gaan proberen! Moet zeggen dat ze er redelijk mooi opzitten voor een eerste keer :)

Today a Notd, I've used some waterdecals from the package from Viva La Nails, they're pretty! So I've never used waterdecals before, this was my first time, and I'm happy with the results :)

Als basislak heb ik een lakje van LUCIDarling gebruikt. Éen van de lakjes die ik gewonnen heb op de giveaway van cherry, het is: LUCIDarling Fantastic Nails #01 . Ik heb werkelijk géén idee in welke subcategorie deze lak hoort, maar ik vind hem in ieder geval helemaal geweldig! ( Zie hier de subcategoriën en de overige LUCIDarling lakjes ). Het is een beige lakje, met ontzettend veel opvallende shimmer/glitter. Pfoeh vind het erg moeilijk om dit lakje te beschrijven, ach ik laat de foto's wel spreken!

For the basecolour I used a polish from LUCIDarling. One of the polishes I've won from Cherry, it's LUCIDarlng Fantastic Nails #01. I really don't know from wich subcategorie this one is, but I really love it! (See this post for the subcategories and the other LUCIDarling polishes). It's a beige polish with very bright shimmer/glitter. Pfoeh it's hard to describe this polish, so I let the pic's talk!

Vervolgens heb ik dus uit het proefpakketje van VivaLaNails de bloemenwaterdecals genomen. Voor een betere weergave kun je op de foto klikken, dan kun je hem zien in een vergroot beeld!

En nog even een uitvergrote foto van 1 nagel. Haha trouwens zo gek, heb ik perongeluk de waterdecals omgedraaid! Dus zoals je op bovenstaande foto kunt zien is dit de waterdecal van mn rechterhand, die dus op mn linkerhand zit. Dus de bruine versiering zit andersom. Ach maakt ook niet uit :)

And a enlarged pic from one of my nails. Haha I'm só stupid, I confused 2 waterdecals, I used the left one on my right hand, and the right one on my left hand. So the brown stripes are turned around. But hell who cares :)

Casuelle Foils

Een tijdje geleden had ik het al steeds over de lakjes van Casuelle. Een paar weken terug kon je er al eentje van zien bij een Notd, de foillakjes van Casuelle! Ik heb ze echt al ontzettend lang, maar gebruik ze bijna nooit. Ben nu toch wel tot de conclusie gekomen dat het best zonde is, want eigenlijk zijn ze toch best wel mooi.. Dus de swatches!

A while ago I told you about the polishes from Casuelle. A couple weeks ago you saw one of the polishes in my Notd, the foil polishes from Casuelle! I've got them for a really long time, but never used them before (except for the blue one). But actually, the polishes are really nice.. Alright Swatchtime!

De eerste, deze blauwe dus hebben jullie al kunnen zien in een Notd, ik ga er maar niet al teveel woorden aan verspillen, foto's zeggen genoeg!

The first one, this blue one you saw in one of my Notd's, so I'm not going to talk very much, just look at the pic's!

Het zilvere folie lakje/The silver polish with foil finish.

Het gouden lakje (deze hebben jullie al een keer als French Manicure gezien)/The golden foil polish (this one I used for a french manicure)

De roze, deze vind ik wel heel mooi! Ben ook wel blij dat hij iets lichter qua kleur is dan er op het potje staat afgebeeld. De kleur is zo precies goed!/ The pink one, this one, is the one I really like! Love the colour, and glad that it isnt exactly the same colour as the bottle. The pink is just good now!

En dit is de paarse, dit is echt mijn favoriet van deze 5 lakjes! Snap echt niet waarom ik deze nooit gebruikt heb.. Ben best benieuwd hoe deze er mat uitziet eigenlijk!/ And this is the purple one. My favourite from these 5 polishes! I really don't understand myself for not using this polish... I'm also curious about the mat version!

En dat waren dus de swatches van de Foil lakjes van Casuelle. Ook meteen maar even een algemeen berichtje tussendoor: Ook voor mij is school weer begonnen, en aangezien ik dit jaar dus eindexamen doe kan het soms zijn dat het me niet lukt om iedere dag te updaten. Ik ga mn best doen om gewoon zovaak mogelijk te updaten, maar als ik dan een paar daagjes afwezig ben weten jullie alvast wat daar de reden voor is!

And these were the swatches of the foil polishes from Casuelle. Immediately a general message: My school began today, and I've got my exams this year. It can be that I can't update every day, but I'm doing my best to write every day a update! But if I'm off for a couple of days, you know the reason why I'm off!

Gone for the weekend!

Even snel een post tussendoor, dit weekend ben ik een weekendje bij mn opa en oma ergens in Friesland, dus helaas geen updates dit weekend! Zie jullie maandag weer!

LUCIDarling Nailpolishes

Een paar weken geleden kreeg ik in mijn email het goede nieuws dat ik de verjaardags giveaway van Sherry ( Happyberrynaiad ) gewonnen had! De prijs waren 8 potjes nagellak van LUCIDarling! Deze week was het eindelijk zover en kreeg ik ze binnen via een pakketje. En ze zijn zo mooi! Kijk mee!

A few weeks ago I read the good news in my email that I've won the birthday giveaway from Sherry (Happyberrynaiad)! The prize are 8 polishes from LUCIDarling! This week I've got the polishes and they're really pretty! Watch!

Ik zal eerst even wat uitleggen over deze serie lakjes van LUCIDarling, deze serie is verspreid in verschillende collecties namelijk:/ There are 4 sub-categories in this line:

Shimmering - 7 different polishes
Glittering - 6 different polishes
Sparkling - 4 different polishes
and Spangle - another 4 different polishes

Iedere lak hoort dus bij een van deze subcategoriën. Alleen één probleempje, de tekst is in het koreaans, dus ik weet niet welke lak bij welke categorie hoort!!! Maar ik heb wel de nummers van de lakken, in welke categorie ze horen moet ik er zelf maar een beetje bij verzinnen denk ik..

Every polish is in one of the sub-categories. Only one little problem, the text is in Korean, and I can't read no Korean! So I've to imagine the polishes in one of the categories, good luck I've the numbers.

Dit zijn de eerste 4 kleurtjes, helemaal links is een superglitterige paars, met grote glitters, kleine glitters en hier en daar zelfs een verdwaald sterretje! Die daarnaast is een lief lilakleurtje en de 2 daarnaast zijn shimmer lakjes, de meest rechtse heb ik nu op mn nagels en het is echt een mooierd!

These are the first 4 polishes, left is a really glittery purple, with big glitters, small glitters and some stars! The one right to that is a sweet lilac polish with shimmer, and the 2 next to her are also 2 shimmery polishes, I've got the most right polish on my nails now, and really she's pretty!

En dit zijn de andere 4 lakjes, mooie felle kleurtjes met allemaal shimmer. Ze dekken echt geweldig, na 1 laagje al goed gedekt, alleen een tweede laagje is qua afwerking toch iets mooier.

And these are the last 4 polishes, bright colours with shimmer. They're opaque in 1 layer, but it's better to use 2.


En als laatste wat swatches op de wheels. Oh kijk die laatste glitterpaars! Geweldig! Helaas is de shimmer niet erg goed te zien op de foto's, maar goed zo krijg je een beetje een indruk van de kleurtjes. Helaas heb ik geen idee waar je deze lakjes kunt krijgen, ik weet alleen dat ze van het merk Etude House afkomen, dus misschien als je op Etude House googled je iets tegenkomt!

And last but not least, some swatches on the wheels. Oh look at the glitterpurple! I love it! Only the shimmer isn't good to see on the pic's, but you can see a bit of the colours. Unfortunately I don't have any idea where you can buy these polishes, the only thing I know is that they're from Etude House, so maybe if you google Etude House you find these polishes.

Notd Ruby Pumps

Vandaag een Notd met één van mijn lievelingslakken, namelijk Ruby Pumps van China Glaze. Geen woorden, maar beelden!

Today a Notd with one of my favourite polishes, Ruby Pumps from China Glaze. No words but pic's !

Oh kijk al die mooie glitters! ( Oke ja het ziet er raar uit op de foto, maar de flitser heeft van sommige glitters een beetje een enorme grote lichtbol gemaakt). De kleur rood is al enorm chique, niet te licht en niet te donker met een subtiele glitter.

Oh look at all those beautiful glitters! ( Yeah it looks funny on this pic, the flash made some glitters huge lightbulbs). The red colour is really chique, not to light, not to dark with a subtile glitter.

Eigenlijk is Ruby Pumps van zichzelf al een beauty, maar omdat ik het enorm saai vind om maar met 1 kleur nagellak rond te lopen heb ik er toch wat overheen gestempeld. Een klein bloemetje aan de zijkanten van mn nagels zodat ik wel nog gewoon kan genieten van de mooie Ruby Pumps.

Actually, Ruby Pumps is a beauty, but I can't stand nails with only one colour polish, so I stamped some flowers on it. A little flower on the sides of my nails, now I can enjoy the flowers and the beautiful Ruby Pumps.
