Eyeko - Military Polish

Misschien zegt het merk Eyeko je wel helemaal niets en misschien ook wel wanneer je al wat langer mee gaat in het wereldje van nagellakfreaks! Zo'n twee jaar geleden kwam het merk Eyeko met verschillende leuke nagellakjes, helemaal hip toen! Ik vond in mijn kast nog een ongeswatchte Eyeko lak terug, Military Polish. Timing, ik was namelijk op zoek naar een mooie donkergroen!

Alle lakken van Eyeko hebben op het flesje een soort van 'spreuk' staan. Zo staat er onder Military polish: For brave nails. 1 Ding is in ieder geval zeker donkergroen is dit lakje, maar dan ook écht donkergroen. Zelf vind ik de kleur iets te donker, in plaats van naar groen neigt hij ook heel erg naar bruin toe.

Eyeko - Cosmic Polish

Cosmic Polish van Eyeko is echt een lakje die je aan de ruimte doet denken! Op het flesje staat de tekst: For space age nails gedrukt. Geen idee of dit een typische uitdrukking ergens voor is, maar space nails zijn het echt wanneer je dit lakje gebruikt!

Cosmic Polish from Eyeke is a polish which makes you think about space! The bottle says: For space age nails. I don't know what this means exactly, maybe it's an English expression which I don't know, but you do have space nails when you wear this polish!

Notd : Cherry Blossoms

Het is weer zondag, dus tijd voor een nieuwe nailart! Vandaag ga ik jullie een zelfgemaakt design laten zien welke jullie onwaarschijnlijk al meerdere malen voorbij hebben zien komen. Het zijn namelijk de Cherry Blossoms! Iedereen heeft zo zijn eigen manier van cherry blossoms, de een maakt het met konad, de andere met konad en iets met de hand, ik heb ervoor gekozen om hem volledig met de hand te schilderen, en heb dus ook een iets ander design.

It's sunday again, so it's time for a new nailart! Today i'm going to show you a handmade nailart which you've probably seen many times. It's a Cherry Blossom nailart! Everyone has their own way to make these cherry blossoms, some do it all with Konad, some with Konad and by hand. I choose a fully handmade design, so it's a little bit different then all the others.

Nailart on Popsticks #8 (Donald Duck!)

Nog net een aantal dagen op tijd voor de maand verloopt een nieuwe Nailart on Popsticks! Deze variant ga ik wat uitgebreider laten doen omdat ik hem recent gemaakt heb dus meteen ook even alle gebruikte spullen heb vastgelegd! Kijk je mee?

Just a few days before the new month is starting: another edition from Nailart on Popsticks! This time i'm going to show it a little bit extensive, because I made this one recently. So I remembered to take a picture of all the stuff I used! Do you watch with me?

Hierboven alle gebruikte spullen, ook zie je een donald duck pasje liggen, deze heb ik namelijk gebruikt als inspiratie! (ja ik haal uit de meest gekke dingen inspiratie, ken je dat inspiratie van een pasje, een douchegordijn etc etc??). De lakjes die ik gebruikt heb zijn La Femme Beauty - White, Blue Cream, Ultra Blue. Essence - Get The Fever. Eyeko - Rain polish, Max - Black en een klein penseel + dottingtool.

Above all the stuff I used for this nailart. You can see a little card from Donald Duck, I used this one as my inspiration! (Yes I get inspiration from weird things, a card, shower curtain etc?). The polishes I used are: La Femme Beauty - White, Blue Cream, Ultra Blue. Essence - Get The Fever. Eyeko - Rain Polish, Max - Black and a little brush and dottingtool.

Dit is de nailart geworden! Lijkt hij op het pasje of niet! (In het geval van wel, heb ik mn best gedaan haha!). In ieder geval is het dus het halve gezicht van Donald Duck geworden! Je ziet bijna niet dat de popstick nog een achtergrond kleur heeft, maar dit is wel het geval. Net zoals op het pasje heb ik de mijne ook een achtergrondkleur gegeven, alleen een niet zo felle blauw. Ik heb gekozen voor één laagje La Femme Beauty - Ultra Blue (Het hele rechtse lakje op de eerste foto). Met één laagje is hij mooi sheer dus kon ik nog mooi de nailart eroverheen maken.

So this is the nailart! Does is look like the card? (Well if the answer is yes, I've done my best!). Anyway it's halve the face of Donald Duck! You can barely see if this popstick got a basecolour, but yes it has a basecolour! Just like the card I used a blue polish, but I choosed not a very bright blue. I used La Femme Beauty - Ultra Blue (Which is the right polish on the first picture) just one coat of this. With just one coat you can see the nailart nicer instead of a popping background.

En meteen even een vergelijking met het pasje erachter! De omlijning is gemaakt met Max - Zwart en het penseeltje, het is moeilijk uit te leggen hoe, maar ik heb gewoon een beetje de omlijning van het pasje aangehouden. Het gezicht van Donald Duck is ingekleurd met La Femme Beauty - White. De snavel is ingekleurd met Essence - Get the Fever. Het petje is ingekleurd met La Femme Beauty - Blue Cream. Het oogje zelf is met Eyeko - Rain polish en Max - Black ingekleurd. De dottingtool heb ik gebruikt voor het inkleuren van de wat grotere oppervlaktes, voor de kleine oppervlakken heb ik weer het penseeltje gebruikt.

And ofcourse a comparison with the card as the background! I made the outlining with a little brush and Max - Black, it's hard to explain how, but I just followed the lines on the card. The face from Donald Duck is colored with La Femme Beauty - White. The beak is coloured with Essence - Get The Fever, the hat is colored with La Femme Beauty - Blue Cream and the eye is colored with Eyeko - Rain polish and Max - Black. I used the dottingtool for coloring the big surfaces, and the tiny brush for the little surfaces.

Comparison Essence/Eyeko

Vorige week liet ik jullie de swatches van Eyeko - Rain polish zien. Daarbij lieten jullie volmondig weten dat jullie best benieuwd waren naar een comparison met Essence - The World's Coolest. Toen ik de flesjes pakte zag ik eigenlijk meteen al dit dat geen dupes waren, ondanks alles wat ik op internet hierover las, daarom heb ik Pastel polish van Eyeko ook meteen betrokken in deze comparison. Kijk snel verder!

Last week I showed you the swatches from Eyeko - Rain Polish. You wear all very curious for a comparison with Essence - The World's Coolest. When I looked at the bottle I Immediatly saw that these 2 polishes weren't dupes ( So strange that so many blogs are telling that these 2 are dupes?). So I tooked Eyeko - Pastel Polish to compare this one also with The World's Coolest. Look further!

Laten we beginnen met Eyeko - Rain Polish en Essence - The World's Coolest. Zoals je op bovenstaande foto al kunt zien zijn dit absoluut geen dupes van elkaar. Rain polish zit op mijn pink/middelvinger en The World's Coolest op mijn wijs en ringvinger. Rain Polish heeft echt meer een grijzige ondertoon, hij neigt dus ook veel meer naar grijs dan The World's Coolest. Het Essence lakje heeft overduidelijk een blauwe ondertoon en is ook veel lichter van kleur. Ook heeft Rain Polish een subtiel shimmertje terwijl The World's Coolest echt een crème is.

Let's start with Eyeko - Rain Polish and Essence - The World's Coolest. As you can see on above picture: These 2 aren't dupes at all! You can see Rain Polish on my pinkie and middle finger, The world's Coolest is on my index and ringfinger. Rain polish has more grey in it. Rain polish is way darker then The World's Coolest. The one from Essence has an abvious blue tone, so it's way more light blue then Rain Polish. The second different is the shimmer in Rain Polish, The World's Coolest has a cream finish.

Hier heb ik de lak van mijn middelvinger veranderd in Eyeko - Pastel polish. De overige vingers hebben dus nog steeds hetzelfde lakje op. Zoals je kunt zien komt Pastel Polish al meer in de buurt van The World's Coolest dan Rain Polish doet. Pastel polish heeft ook een blauwe ondertoon, alleen is Pastel Polish toch nog een tikje lichter dan The World's Coolest. Pastel polish heeft ook net zoals Rain Polish een shimmer. Mijn conclusie is dan ook dat deze 3 lakjes allemaal verschillend zijn, het zijn geen dupes van elkaar, wel komen Pastel Polish en The World's Coolest dicht bij elkaar in de buurt. Het lakje van Essence is een Limited Edition, dit lakje is inmiddels niet meer te koop. De lakjes van Eyeko kun je kopen via hun website.

Here you can see that I changed the polish on my middlefinger to Eyeko - Pastel Polish. The other nails are exactly the same as the first picture. As you can see: Pastel Polish is more like The World's Coolest then Rain Polish is. But Pastel Polish is one tone lighter then The World's Coolest and Pastel Polish has shimmer in it, so they aren't dupes. My conclusion is that these 3 polishes are all different, they aren't dupes. Essence - The World's Coolest was a LE, so you can't buy this one anymore. Both Eyeko polishes are still available on the website from Eyeko.

Hope this comparison was usefull! My conclusion: don't believe the internet when you don't see any pictures :) !

Eyeko - Rain Polish

Rain Polish -> Voor City Nails, dit is de beschrijving die op het flesje staat, ik vind het wel apart dat ze er een beschrijving opzetten alhoewel ik niet helemaal begrijp waar sommige vandaan komen.. De kleur van Rain Polish ligt tussen de blauw en grijs in, hij heeft een mooi subtiel licht shimmertje die bijna alleen maar opvalt als je de lak echt in het zonlicht maakt. Bovenstaande foto is binnen onder lamplicht gemaakt.

Rain Polish -> For City Nails, that's what Eyeko says on the bottle, I like it that Eyeko is original with adding an description on the bottle, but with some polishes I don't know where they get the descriptions for.. I mean City Nails huh? The colour from Rain Polish isn't blue and it isn't grey, it's between those 2 colours, the polish got a nice subtile shimmer which you only can see when you're holding your nails in direct sunlight. Above picture is made inside with artificial light.

Sorry voor de vaagheid van deze foto, maar de kleur van de lak komt hier echt perfect overeen met hoe de kleur er in het echt uitziet. De applicatie was verder prima, na 2 dunne laagjes heeft deze lak een goede dekking. Ik heb trouwens gelezen dat Essence - The world's Coolest erg dicht bij dit lakje ligt, heeft iemand interesse in een vergelijking, ik heb toevallig beide lakjes!

I'm sorry for the bad quality of this picture, but the colour of the polish on this picture is the most colour accurate picture I have. Application of this polish was good, I only needed 2 very thin coats for a full coverage. Btw I read that Essence - The World's Coolest is a dupe for this polish, i'm not sure about it, but does anyone want to see a comparison with these 2 polishes? I've got both of them!

Eyeko - Lilac Polish

Vandaag weer eens een lakje van Eyeko. Een superleuk lakje, kijk snel mee naar een kleine review en de swatches!

Today another polish by Eyeko. A really cute polish, so look further for the review and the swatches!

Lilac polish: For Lovely Nails is de beschrijving die het flesje geeft. Ik vind zelf lila kleurtjes altijd erg leuk, dit is ook een pastel lakje, dus een erg zacht kleurtje. Lilac polish heeft een creamy finish. Ik wordt trouwens helemaal blij van bovenstaande foto, heerlijk dat mooie zonnetjes effect. Hoog tijd dat de zon weer terug komt!

Lilac Polish: For Lovely Nails, that's what Eyeko says. I really like lilac polishes, and this one is a pastel so it's a very soft lilac. Lilac polish got a nice creamy finish. Oh you know i'm so happy when I look at this sunny picture! I want the sun back!

Bovenstaande foto is gemaakt in een zwak zonnetje. Deze foto is wat kleurechter. Applicatie van dit lakje was prima. Ik had verwacht dat ik zo'n 3/4 laagjes nodig zou hebben omdat lichte kleurtjes vaak nogal sheer zijn op mijn nagels, maar dat viel me mee. Uiteindelijk heb ik 2 laagjes lak gebruikt. 

Above picture is made win weak sunlight. So this picture is more colouraccurate. Application of this polish was good. I expected to need 3/4 coats for full coverage, but I ended up with just 2 coats.

Eyeko - Nude Polish

Vandaag weer een ander lakje van Eyeko. Deze keer Nude Polish! 

Today another polish from Eyeko. This time it's Nude Polish!

Nude polish heeft als omschrijving: for perfect nails! Ik weet niet of ik het zelf ook zo omschrijven, maar dit is zeker weten wel een perfect nude kleurtje (De mooiste die ik tot nu toe heb uitgeprobeerd!). Ik had de omschrijving dan ook meer richting: for nice naked looking nails verwacht. De kleur is echt nude met een crème finish.

This is the description from Eyeko about Nude polish; for perfect nails! I don't know if that's really true, but i'm enthousiastic about this nude polish. This one is in my eyes the nicest nude polish I ever tried. I expected that the description from this polish would be more like: For nice naked looking nails, but they choosed perfect nails. The colour is nude with a cream finish.

Ik moet eerlijk toegeven dat ik bij dit lakje steeds maar naar mn nagels bleef kijken, en dat terwijl ik eigenlijk meer een type voor opvallende kleurtjes ben! Applicatie van dit lakje is echt super! Binnen 2 laagjes een mooi dekkend resultaat, en dat terwijl de meeste nude polishes toch vrij sheer zijn! Deze dus absoluut niet! Ook heeft Nude polish gewoon een normale substantie, en niet zo'n apart goedje zoals Vintage polish is.

I have to admit that I couldn't stop looking at this polish, and i'm more a type for brighter colours! Application was great! Just needed 2 coats for this result, that's great because most nude polishes are a bit sheer. This one isn't! Nude polish has a good substance, not a strange substance like Vintage polish has.

Eyeko - Catrice Comparison

Na de swatches van Vintage Polish gister, kreeg ik veel berichtjes dat er toch veel dames nieuwsgierig waren naar de comparison met Catrice - Sold Out Forever. Ik heb dus besloten om deze comparison vandaag al online te zetten zodat jullie zelf kunnen oordelen!


After the swatches from Vintage Polish yesterday. I've got a lot of messages from ladies who were very curious for this comparison. So I decided to put it online today!

Op bovenstaande foto's kun je al heel goed zien dat deze 2 lakjes geen dupes zijn.. Op mijn wijsvinger en ringvinger kun je Eyeko - Vintage Polish zien, en op mijn middelvinger en pink Catrice - Sold Out forever. Van beide lakjes heb ik 3 dunne laagjes gelakt.


You can see the difference between the 2 polishes on above picture very well, they are absolutely no dupes.. On my index and ringfinger is Eyeko - Vintage Polish, and my middlefinger and pinkie is Catrice - Sold Out Forever. I used 3 thin coats by both polishes.

En dan nu op naar de kleuren! Zoals je kunt zien is Sold Out Forever veel meer groen, Vintage polish heeft een blauwe ondertoon, terwijl Sold Out Forever echt meer een groene ondertoon heeft. Sold Out Forever is dan ook meer een mintgroene kleur, en Vintage Polish een jade groene. Ondanks dat deze lakjes geen dupes zijn, zijn beide lakjes aan te raden!


And now the colours! As you can see Sold Out Forever is way more green than Vintage Polish. Vintage polish has a blue undertone, while Sold Out Forever got a green undertone. Sold Out Forever is a mint green, and Vintage Polish a jade green. Too bad, these aren't dupes, but I can recommend you both polishes!

Eyeko - Vintage Polish

Een tijdje geleden liet ik jullie al Indigo Polish van Eyeko zien. Vandaag is het de beurt aan Vintage Polish. Kijk mee naar dit prachtige lakje!

A while ago I showed you Indigo Polish by Eyeko. Today I'm going to show you Vintage Polish by Eyeko. Scroll down to see this awesome polish!

Vintage Polish een jade groen lakje. Op het potje onder de naam staat aangegeven: voor elegante nagels. Met die statement ben ik het wel eens, ik vind het een erg mooi lakje! Toen ik hem ophad deed hij me trouwens heel erg denken aan Catrice - Sold Out Forever. Helaas zijn dit absoluut geen dupes, maar hier komt later nog een aparte post over!


Vintage polish is a jade green polish. The bottle says: For Elegant Nails. I think that's totally right, what a lovely polish! When I weared it I thought it looked a bit like Catrice - Sold Out Forever. Too bad they aren't dupes, but I'm going to post this another time with pictures.

Ik kan trouwens echt úren naar dit lakje kijken, vind hem zo mooi! Applicatie was ook een stuk beter dan die van Indigo Polish. Eyeko blijft wel een aparte formule qua substantie hebben, maar deze substantie was precies goed voor een mooie applicatie. Op deze foto draag ik 2 dunne laagjes lak. Verder zit er 8.5 ml in een potje.


I can look at this polish for hours, I love it! Application was great too. Eyeko polishes got their own substance, but Vintage Polish was a bit better with application than Indigo Polish was. On this pic I wear 2 thin coats of polish. One bottle Eyeko polish containt 8.5 ml.

Eyeko Polishes

Een tijdje terug won ik de Eyeko giveaway van The Laquer Files, deze week kreeg ik de lakjes binnen, dus kijk mee naar deze beauties!

Dit zijn de eerste 4 lakjes van de 8 totaal. Van links naar rechts: Cosmic Polish, Pastel Polish, Nude Polish en Vintage Polish. Dit zijn trouwens mn eerste lakjes van Eyeko!

These are the first 4 from the total of 8 polishes. From left to right: Cosmic Polish, Pastel Polish, Nude polish and Vintage Polish. Btw these are my first Eyeko polishes!

Dit zijn de eerste 4 lakjes geswatcht op een blaadje, ik ben door de nagelwielen heen dus maar even zo! Cosmic Polish is een zwarte lak met verschillende kleuren glitters, Pastel polish is een prachtige blauwe pasteltint, Nude polish is een nude lakje, en Vintage polish is een jade groen lakje.

These are the 4 polishes on a piece of paper. I'm out of wheels so that's the reason why I swatched them on a piece of paper. Cosmic Polish is a black polish with lots of glitters in it, Pastel polish is a beautiful blue pastel polish, Nude polish is a nude polish and Vintage polish is a beautiful jade green polish.

En hier weer de swatches. Rain polish is een blauw/grijzige lak. Military Polish is een prachtige legergroen, Lilac polish is een mooi lila kleurtje (Jeeh lila!) en de laatste is Indigo Polish een donkerblauwe met prachtige glitters.

And here are the swatches. Rain polish is a blue/grayish polish. Military polish is a beautiful military green. Lilac polish is a gorgeous lilac colour (jippie lilac!) and the last one is Indigo Polish, a darkblue with lots of glitter, I love this one!

En dit zijn dan de lakjes! Ik ga er dit weekend een paar van swatchen, dus als jullie verzoekjes hebben dan hoor ik het graag! Dus welk lakje zouden jullie graag zien als swatch?
